IMPLEMENTATION OF PERINTAH DUTI KASTAM (PDK) 2017
With reference to the above implementation, system downtime is scheduled on 31 March 2017 (22:00hours – 23:59hours).
Below are a few useful guidelines:
- What happens during the downtime period?
All DNT services will not be accessible for application and processing of permit/ preferential CO (PCO). - What happens if a permit/ PCO is approved before 1 April 2017?
The permit/ PCO is valid until the permit expiries or has been utilised. The code approved before 1 April 2017 is valid until the permit/ PCO expires. - What happens if a permit/ PCO is approved after 1 April 2017?
The permit/ PCO should be using the latest code according to PDK2017. - What happens if permit/PCO approved before 1 April 2017 to be used with K2 approved after 1 April 2017?
The permit/PCO is valid until the document’s expiry date is met. Thus, the comparison of the TC on permit/ PCO, with the TC on K2, is to be compared using the correlation table. - What happens if permit approval response (Customs Acknowledgement) is received by OGA, but nor received by permit applicant?
Permit applicant is to contact Careline and provide the application APP ID for checking. Careline will provide the permit approval response screen shot, as a supporting document to the permit, for clearance purposes. - What happens if a permit is submitted before 1 April 2017, but approved after 1 April 2017?
There is a possibility of the permit being rejected by Customs with error code H12 – Invalid Tariff Code. If rejected, a new permit needs to be applied. - Where can I refer to, for more information on the implementation?
