Dear Valued Customer,

CANCELLATION OF AUTO-APPROVAL FOR CERTIFICATE OF ORIGIN (CO) APPLICATIONS

Please be informed that, effective 11 August 2025, the auto-approval process for Certificate of Origin (CO) applications will be discontinued.

This policy change is being implemented in response to the high incidence of applications containing inconsistencies or not fully complying with the prescribed Rules of Origin (ROO). Furthermore, it has been observed that many applications neglect the necessity of attaching the required supporting documents and evidence substantiating the origin of the goods.

Applicants are reminded that auto-approval is neither a privilege nor a mandatory entitlement. It is a facilitation mechanism subject to compliance with all requirements, and its continuation is dependent on responsible usage by applicants.

In addition, MITI will conduct verification on all approved COs that were submitted without the required documents. Revocation of the approved CO will be carried out if the application is found to have breached ROO requirements or contained false, misleading, or incomplete information.

By discontinuing auto-approval, we aim to enhance the accuracy and completeness of the information submitted, ensure compliance with ROO requirements, and reduce the likelihood of queries or rejections by importing authorities.

Para pelanggan yang dihormati,

PEMBATALAN PROSES AUTO-KELULUSAN PERMOHONAN SIJIL TEMPASAL

Adalah dimaklumkan bahawa berkuat kuasa 11 Ogos 2025, proses auto-kelulusan bagi permohonan Sijil Tempasal (Certificate of Origin - CO) telah dihentikan.

Perubahan ini dilaksanakan setelah mendapati terdapat permohonan yang tidak konsisten, tidak mematuhi Peraturan Tempasal (Rules of Origin - ROO), atau dokumen sokongan yang tidak lengkap.

Para pelanggan adalah diingatkan bahawa proses auto-kelulusan sebelum ini bukanlah hak atau keistimewaan mutlak, tetapi merupakan kemudahan yang disediakan bagi memudahkan proses permohonan tertakluk kepada pematuhan sepenuhnya terhadap semua syarat yang ditetapkan, dan pelaksanaannya hanya dapat diteruskan sekiranya digunakan secara bertanggungjawab oleh pemohon.

MITI akan melakukan verifikasi ke atas CO yang diluluskan tanpa dokumen sokongan. Pembatalan akan dibuat sekiranya didapati tidak mematuhi ROO atau mengandungi maklumat tidak tepat.

Perubahan ini adalah untuk memastikan maklumat lebih tepat dan lengkap selain meningkatkan pematuhan kepada ROO dalam usaha untuk mengurangkan kemungkinan pertanyaan atau penolakan daripada pihak berkuasa negara pengimport.
