ENTRY INTO FORCE OF THE COMPREHENSIVE AND PROGRESSIVE AGREEMENT FOR TRANS-PACIFIC PARTNERSHIP FOR THE REPUBLIC OF CHILE ON 21 FEBRUARY 2023
The Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) is pleased to inform that the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) will enter into force for The Republic of Chile on 21 February 2023.
Chile will join nine other countries, namely Malaysia, Australia, Canada, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore and Viet Nam, all of which have implemented the CPTPP.
All procedures of applying for the CPTPP remains the same as prior announcement. Form CPTPP that has been approved with electronically affixed signature and official seal has to be printed on ISO A4 size white paper and exporter shall keep a copy of the Form for a period of no less than five years from the date of importation of the good in accordance with Article 3.26 of the CPTPP.
