What is Electronic Permit (ePermit)?

 

 

ONE-STOP PERMIT PROCESSING CENTRE FOR TYPE OF EVERY USER

 

Electronic Permit (ePermit) is a web-based service that enables importers, exporters and appointed forwarding agents to apply for permits from Permit Issuing Authorities (PIAs) and obtain approval online. Approved permits will then be electronically transmitted to Sistem Maklumat Kastam (SMK) for validation and cross-reference against Customs declaration. It caters to three different types of users:

 

Importers and Exporters

Importers and exporters may apply for permits online and submit their application for approval via the Internet.

 

Forwarding Agents

Appointed forwarding agents may apply for permits online on behalf of importers/exporters and submit their application for approval via the Internet.

 

Permit Issuing Authorities (PIAs)

Permit Issuing Authorities (PIAs) such as the Ministry of Agriculture, Department of Environment and Film Censorship Board can verify and approve permit applications before transmitting approved permits to the Sistem Maklumat Kastam (SMK). PIAs can also access daily reports on issued and rejected permits statistics.

How do I start using ePermit?

To use ePermit, your company must be registered with the respective permit issuing authority (PIA). Forward a copy of the Registration Certificate to us along with the Dagang Net Registration Form which is obtainable from any one of our nationwide network of Kedai EDIs.
